The purpose of a parent session is to give parents the tools to help their own children with school concepts that are difficult for them.  This is ideal for parents who work well with their children and have the time to complete assignments, but aren't quite sure of the best approach to helping them. They are conducted with only the parent and myself present.

Skills that can be taught include, but are not limited to:

   

     *Methods for completing a specific kind of math problem

     *Visual representations and explanations to help facilitate

       the understanding of the meaning behind math

       calculations

     * Strategies for mastering reading comprehension 

     *The best ways to write a complete response to an

       extended response question.

           $20/ half hour

           $25/ 45 minutes

           $30/ hour
